Dr. Amber Belt is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, treating people of all ages in accordance with naturopathic philosophy. Dr. Belt was born & raised in Kansas and graduated from Baker University. She attended naturopathic medical school at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, located in Tempe, Arizona. Upon graduation, she was awarded the High Academic Achievement Award as well as the Student Leadership Award.
Since graduating in 2004, Dr. Belt has enjoyed both practicing naturopathic medicine and teaching basic sciences and nutrition. She has also received specialty training in prolotherapy and other regenerative injections through the Naturopathic Academy of Therapeutic Injection. Dr. Belt is also currently a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association.
While Dr. Belt is a general practitioner, her practice focuses on regenerative injections such as prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma therapy. She is passionate about helping people stay active and moving without pain. Dr. Belt also uses other modalities such as diet, nutrition, acupuncture, perineural injections, and botanical medicine to help her patients heal and feel their best.
When treating a patient, Dr. Belt evaluates the patient's symptoms, does a thorough physical examination, and assesses laboratory testing to find the root of their condition. Her treatment plans are then tailored to the specific needs of her patient. It is extremely important to Dr. Belt to create an environment in which the patient learns about their condition and actively participates in their healing process.
In her spare time, Dr. Belt enjoys spending time with her husband and son, playing roller derby, throwing axes, lifting weights, and reading.
