Aspen’s Referral Directory

Our Referral Directory

Connecting you with the care you need.

While Aspen Integrative Medical Center strives to be your one-stop resource for health and wellness, there are times when our physicians may refer you to another provider. This usually happens when you:

  • Need to see a specialist (e.g., a gastroenterologist, cardiologist, neurologist, or surgeon)
  • Require a service we don’t currently offer (such as acupuncture, physical therapy, counseling, or massage therapy)
  • Live outside the Flagstaff area, need care closer to home, or are unable to receive care via telemedicine

We hope this referral list helps you and your loved ones find the trusted care you need. If you’re a healthcare provider interested in joining our referral network, please reach out to us at support@aspenmedcenter.com.

Naturopathic Doctors (ND/NMD)

Here are our suggestions to help you find a qualified provider in your area:

1. Check your state’s naturopathic association directory

2. Use national ND/NMD search tools

3. Browse general naturopathic directories

4. Try a simple online search

Sometimes, a Google search for “naturopathic physician near me” can also yield helpful results.

IMPORTANT: We only recommend licensed, board-certified naturopathic physicians because they have undergone rigorous, accredited education and clinical training. This also means they have passed both the basic science and clinical board exams (NPLEX) administered by the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners. Be cautious of individuals using terms like “naturopath” or “naturopathic doctor” who have not completed proper training or licensing.

Here’s a list of ND/NMD colleagues we’d confidently recommend—either because we know them personally or they have a strong reputation in our field.

Organized alphabetically by state:

Specialists

While we specialize in CIRS, there are times when we may be unable to accept new patients or you may not be local to our area. In those cases, we recommend searching the official Shoemaker provider directory:

👉 Find Shoemaker Certified Practitioners

This directory lists clinicians who have completed the Shoemaker Protocol certification. You can review provider locations and contact information to find someone who may be a good fit for your needs.

Tip: Many certified practitioners offer telemedicine visits, so location may be flexible.

  • Dr. Mele at Aspen specializes in Hypermobile Spectrum Disorders, but if you aren’t local and able to see her we’d suggest looking at the Ehlers-Danlos Society Directory.

We specialize in mold illness, but if you aren’t local we can do our best to connect you with a provider near you.

Change of Air Foundation is a great resource.

We currently do not refer to any clinics in Flagstaff for sleep studies. We ask patients go get this done in the valley.

Treatment Specific Referrals
  • Banner Physical Therapy
    • Katie Pierce, PT, DPT – specializes in hypermobile spectrum disorders.
    • Dawn Pfeffer, PT, DPT
Other Resources

We work with several trusted companies to help patients evaluate their homes for mold and other environmental toxins:

  • The Mold Pros
    • Provides services nationwide, offering home mold and mycotoxin testing in addition to remediation services. They coordinate with third-party inspectors for inspection and testing, after which results are shared with Mold Inspection Sciences. Based on those findings, they will review the results with you and determine whether remediation is necessary.
    • Their team will provide a free 30 minute consult to answer your questions prior to having an inspector come to your home. Please call Josh at 720-523-9135 for more information.
  • Mold Inspection Sciences

While we recommend contracting a company to help you inspect and test your home, if you want to test yourself we’d recommend the Environmental Mold and Mycotoxin Assessment (EMMA) by RealTime Labs which tests for 15 different molds and 16 mycotoxins.
